Pixel pitch is the center-to-center distance between individual pixels on an LED display, measured in millimeters. A smaller pixel pitch places the pixels closer together, creating a higher-resolution image at a given display size. The appropriate pixel pitch depends largely on the size of the display and the typical viewing distance.

The matrix, or resolution, describes the number of pixels in an LED display, typically expressed as width × height. A higher pixel count provides more image detail and allows graphics, text and video to appear sharper, particularly at closer viewing distances.

LED components are commonly rated for long operating lifespans, but actual display life depends on operating conditions, brightness levels, environment, maintenance and other factors. SureFire LED displays are designed for dependable long-term commercial operation.

RGB stands for Red, Green and Blue, the three primary colors used by full-color LED displays. By combining these colors at different intensity levels, an LED display can produce millions of colors for displaying text, graphics, animations and video.
